Environmental Day Camp

Full week camps have returned!

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Explore the environment while gaining an understanding of plants, animals, and the ecosystems in which they exist.


Guest speakers, wildlife encounters, games, crafts, outdoor activities, and more!


Summer day camp is open to campers ages 6-12. Please check age requirement for camps before registering.

members - $160/wk., all others $185/wk.

 Family membership $50/year. 


Camp descriptions:

Week 1: Backbone Not Required

What do insects, spiders, snails, and centipedes have in common? They've got no spine! Join us for a week of exploring the amazing world of these spineless creatures. Age 6-12


Week 2: The Nature of Minecraft 

What can we learn from Minecraft IRL “in real life”?!? In this camp we will compare the Minecraft world to the real world, real world geology and biomes, relate survival mode to past human culture and technologies, and, of course, craft, build, and journey into the Nether! Ages 6-12


Week 3: Squirrel-lock Holmes: Mystery at the Preserve

The Preserve needs your help in solving a mystery! Join Squirrel-lock Holmes and Dr. Spot-son to uncover clues, break codes, explore disguises, and more during this week of investigation and mystery. Ages 6-12


Week 4: Art in Nature

Bring your creativity and join the fun as we learn printmaking, Native American pottery, painting, and more while observing nature from an artist’s point of view. Ages 8-12


Week 5: Florida Time Warp!

From mammoths to marsupials, Florida's animals have changed greatly over time. Campers will travel through time and discover the wonders of Florida's animals and people. Ages 6-12


Week 6: ONP Junior Naturalist

Become an ONP Junior Naturalist! Join us for this in-depth week as we look at the wonders and inner workings of nature and what makes Florida unique. Ages 8-12

Summer Camp 2022 registration will open March 1st for members,  March 15th for all.
